Green hydrogen, produced through water electrolysis, is rapidly emerging as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels across various sectors, including automotive.

In Europe, the hydrogen market is expected to witness substantial growth due to various factors, including the European Union’s climate targets as outlined in the European Green Deal, which aims for climate neutrality by 2050. According to an analysis from McKinsey, hydrogen bears immense potential, with projections indicating it could help reduce global emissions by over 20% by 2050.

At the forefront of this innovation is Mebius, dedicated to developing new and more efficient Proton-Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) components.

Recently, Mebius joined forces with SciEngineer to optimize bipolar plates, one of the most critical components in fuel cell stacks, aiming to enhance process efficiency. Their collaboration was a smash hit, showcasing the potential of industry partnerships in driving clean energy advancements.

During this panel discussion, we’ll explore the fundamentals of fuel cell technology and delve into the opportunities and challenges entailed in hydrogen-based energy production. We’ll reveal the specifics of how Mebius and SciEngineer worked together and show how hydrogen can help various high-emissions sectors meet climate targets. Finally, we’ll discuss future trends and opportunities for hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing.
